Words by Jesse Serwer—

Mad Cobra Downsound Records

It looks like Josef Bogdanovich’s Downsound Records and producer Skatta Burrell plan on launching a full-on ’90s dancehall revival. Fresh from rejuvenating Ninjaman’s career with the Don Gorgon’s best new music in about 20 years, Downsound has just issued “We and Dem A War” from Ninja’s one-time rival Mad Cobra, on the same barebones, Skatta-produced riddim as Ninja’s “Dawg Nyam Yuh Supper.”
